In Germany, this is often called a Wohnungsbewerbung, Bewerbungsmappe, Bewerbermappe or Mietmappe.
You keep applying — and hear nothing back
You send message after message, but the replies don't come. For a good apartment, German landlords receive dozens of applications — and a short message with no documents, written in rough German, is usually the first one they skip.
A complete Bewerbungsmappe — cover letter, self-disclosure and a tidy checklist in correct German — makes you look organized and easy to say yes to. You can have one ready before your next viewing.

What German landlords expect
A convincing Wohnungsbewerbung / Bewerbungsmappe has a standard structure in a single PDF file (max. 5–10 MB). This is what it looks like — and how our dossier covers it:
- 1DeckblattIncluded in the dossier
Cover page with your contact details, optionally with a photo.
- 2AnschreibenIncluded in the dossier
A short, serious letter: your reason for moving and your job situation.
- 3MieterselbstauskunftIncluded in the dossier
The self-disclosure with income and who is moving in.
- 4EinkommensnachweiseYou attach it
Your last 3 payslips — you attach them.
- 5SCHUFA / credit checkYou attach it
SCHUFA report (max. 3 months old) — or the alternatives explanation included in the dossier.
- 6Other documentsYou attach it
ID copy, certificate of no rent debt, guarantee.
The dossier includes the complete checklist in the right order and instructions to send everything as one PDF. Acceptance is always the landlord's decision — this is document organization and language assistance, not legal advice.
This is what the documents look like
The PDF is in German — the landlord's language. You fill everything in English.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Wohnungsbewerbung or Bewerbungsmappe?
It is the set of documents used when applying for an apartment in Germany. It usually includes a short cover letter (Anschreiben), a Mieterselbstauskunft, income proof, SCHUFA if available, an ID copy and other documents the landlord may request.
Can I use this if I don't have SCHUFA yet?
Yes. The PDF can include a safe no-SCHUFA explanation and a checklist of alternative documents. It does not replace SCHUFA and does not guarantee acceptance — the landlord decides.
Is this the same as a Mieterselbstauskunft?
No. The Mieterselbstauskunft is one part of the full application. Mietmappe Deutschland creates a broader Bewerbungsmappe / Wohnungsbewerbung PDF with several sections.
Do I need SCHUFA?
No. If you don't have SCHUFA yet, the dossier includes a German explanation and a list of alternative proofs (bank statements, work contract, guarantor). Whether the landlord accepts them is entirely the landlord's decision.
I don't speak German. Is that a problem?
No. You fill in everything in English, and the final document is generated in standard German from verified text blocks.
I don't know which documents landlords expect.
That's exactly what the dossier is for. It lays out the standard German structure — Anschreiben, Mieterselbstauskunft and a checklist — and tells you exactly what to attach and in which order.
I don't want to create an account.
You don't have to. There are no accounts and no passwords: you fill in the form, pay once and download the PDF. Your data stays in your browser only.
Where does my data go?
Nowhere. Your data stays only in your browser on this device — it is never sent to our server; we have no database and no accounts. It may remain saved in the browser so you can continue after payment or a page refresh; you can delete it at any time (delete button on the confirmation page, or clear your browser data).
How much does it cost and how do I pay?
9,99€, once, via Stripe (card). No subscription. The PDF downloads immediately after payment. Payment is processed by Stripe; your bank statement may show 'Berichtsheftturbo' — our business name.
Can I change my data after paying?
Yes — go back to the generator, correct anything and generate the PDF again. Your entries stay saved in this browser until you delete them.
Does it guarantee me an apartment?
No — and nobody serious can guarantee that. The dossier helps you present yourself clearly and completely; the final decision is the landlord's.
